How does the system work

For example, let's take a certain vendor, the algorithm for such a vendor will be as follows: our server sends a search query to a vendor server (for example: "max232", "adm232", atmega16 and so on) that is being accepted by a special script that searches the internal database (MySQL database, Spreadsheet, Text file and other) and returns a list of items that matches the accepted query with availability information (Not in stock, In stock, 100 item available and so on), and additional information, like manufacturer's name, price, description, link to the documentation and other.

How to be connected to system

Your system administrator has to prepare the script described above, which will return stock information and optionally additional fields. To get more specifics about the script look in the Specifications section.

• Script calling parameters and parameters for search queries.
• Query encoding.
• Answer encoding.

Requirements for linking up on-line stock

• The search script has to work as fast as possible (less than 1 second), otherwise our server wont be able to get all information in time and display it in the search results.
• The server has to be ready to serve several tens of thousands queries a day.
• Your website has to contain stock information in some form (item search, price list or a catalog), which has to provide accurate information about availability of requested items in stock. That is to make sure that information received from you is not conflicting with information on your website.
